EX-GOVERNOR DEAD
SIR WILLIAM ALLARDYCE FORMERLY IN TASMANIA LONDON, Tuesday. The death has occurred of Sir William Allardyce, formerly in the service of the Colonial Office, and exGovernor of Tasmania, in his 69th year. He was Governor of Tasmania, 1920-22, and of Newfoundland, 1922-2 S. He was created a knight in 1916. He was twice married, on the second occasion in 1920, to Mrs. Elsie Goodfellow. SERVED COUNTY CRICKET LONDON, Tuesday. The death has occured of Sir Frederick Toone, secretary of the Yor-k----shire County Cricket Club. He had been secretary of the Yorkshire County Cricket Club since 1903. MANAGED RUGBY TOUR Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday. The death is announced of Mr. George Harnett, who was prominent in Rugby. He managed the Anglo-Welsh tour of Australia and New Zealand in 190 S.
