The play was chiefly confined to the forwards throughout. The Cadets vvero early in the lead, and at half-time had a lead of two points, but in the second spoil the Huimais came up with .-t fine spurt. At the weekly meeting of the Opotiki Rugby Union it was stated th: t arrangements had been made to pla .* the Apanui Union representatives at Opotiki on June 2S- The secretary was instructed to endeavour to arrange both senior and junior representative games with either Whakatau * or Ilangitaiki Unions on June 21. In the event of the Bay of Plenty Union approving the challenge of the Apanui junior representatives for the Shalfoon Shield this match will take place at Opotiki on June 28. The results of the Opotiki Union’s senior competition at the end of the second round is «« follow: 0.M.P., S; Country, S; City. 6, P.WJX. 0.
