HOLD-UP IN CAFE
NIGHT-CLUB SPENDERS LOSE THEIR CASH YOUNG BANDITS’ BIG HAUL United P.A.—By Telegraph—Copyright Reed. 10.5 a.m. NEW YORK, Mon. At three o’clock this morning at one of Manhattan's wettest all-night cafes, four snappily dressed hatless youths entered, drew automatics, and robbed the patrons of £IO,OOO in cash, and also took a fine lot of jewels. The only shots fired were when one woman attempted to toss a roll of 1,000 dollars behind the bar. “Another move, and we will put a machine-gun on you,” shouted the leading bandit, as the gang methodically passed down the line of big spenders, -which included judges, prize-fighters, jockeys, lawyers, bookmakers and millionaires.
