TORRENT NOW ROARS DOWN ARAPUNI GORGE.—A view of the Arapuni Gorge, taken from the swingbridge above the power station this morning. The picture clearly illustrates the volume of water which is rushing down the old bed of the river since the gates of the diversion tunnel have been opened. In the lower righthand corner is the power-house, behind which the water is leaking through the hill.
