FOUND DEAD IN HUT

RUMOURS OF QUARREL Press Association REEFTON, Today. A man named Donald McPherson, a labourer, aged about 50, working for the Public Works Department, was found dead in his hut at Lyell yesterday. He was brought to Reefton last night. It is rumoured that a row occurred among a party of men. and that McPherson struck the back of his head on a stone when falling. An inquest was opened this morning and when evidence of identification had been taken was adjourned sine die.
