FIRE OUTBREAKS
Several calls were received by the City Fire Brigade, including two false alarms, last evening. A fire in the Domain, started by workmen, attracted the attention of a passer-by, who immediately gave the alarm, while smoke from the kitchen of a bouse in St. Stephen's Avenue, Parnell, was responsible for another call. Through the electric wire fusing, fire broke out at a shop in Fonsonby Road at about 4.3 b p.m. The flames were quickly subdued by the City Brigade. Slight damage was done to the floor. The Avondale and Point Chevalier Brigades received a call to a house at Henry street. Avondale, occupied bv Mr. R. Gordon, where a. chimney fire broke out*
