When Patty Nutt, aged 10 years. the ! younger daughter of Mr. Thomas Nutt, of Wanstead. was crossing the road for the purpose of collecting mail from a. letter-box, she was struck by a car driven by Mr. El J. White, of Porangahau. She was removed to the Waipukurau Hospital suffering from shock, bruises, deep abrasions and possibly internal injury.
