CLAY BIRD MATCHES From. Our Otun Correspondent TE AROHA, Wednesday. Excellent shooting was witnessed at Herriesvill© this afternoon, on the occasion of the Te Aroha Gun Club’s matches. Following are the results: First Shoot, G birds.—G. Horn (14yds), P. Harvey (14yds), and G. Horn (14yds), tied for first place, with the possible. In the shoot-off Hayes took first place and Harvey second. Second Shoot, 7 birds. —G. Horn (12.vds), 1: P- Harvey (13yds), 2. Third Shoot, 6 birds.—R. Farrow (14yds), P. Harvey (13yds), and G. 1 Hayes (14yds), tied for first place, with the possible. C.A.C. Trophy (gold medal). 9 birds.— P. Harvey (14yds), 9 birds, 1; G. Haves! (15yds), 7 birds, 2; R. Farrow (14yds), 7 1 birds, 3. j Fifth Shoot, 6 birds.—P. Harvey 1 14yds), 6 birds, 1; G. Hayes (15yds), 5 birds, 2. At the conclusion, Mr. Stan Davies, president of the club, presented the C A.C. trophy to the winner, Mr. P. Harvey, of Te Aroha West.
