TRANSPORT BOARD DECISIONS
The Passenger Transport Company has been granted permission to establish a. motor-omnibus service between Otahuhu and Eden Park. This was decided at today's meetin',' of the Transport Board. In connection with a deputation from residents of Grey Lynn in reference to the tramway stopping-place the committee of the whole board recommended that the deputation be informed that the Public Works regulations require that all cars must stop when approaching facing points, and that in the circumstances the board was unable to alter the existing arrangements. An application was received from C. M. Strand asking that the route and time-table in his Remuera Post Office-Upland Road motor omnibus service be amended. The alterations had been approved by the Remuera Central Ratepayers’ Association. His request was made, owing to serious competition making some runs a financial loss. The request was granted.
