THE ARISTOCRAT.—A very fine youngster, rising two years, purchased by the well-known Auckland sportsman, Dr. W. C. Ring, at the Sydney sales last month. H. Gray is in the saddle. The colt is by the young sire Brazen, a son of Phalaris (by Polymelus from Bromus) from South Wales (by Llangibby from Southern Belle, by Ayrshire). The dam is the unraced Australian - bred mare Torfida (by Eudorus).
