EFFICIENCY CUP
ARTILLERY ON PARADE A full dress parade of the First Field Artillery Brigade (Ist, 3rd, 4tli add 21st Batteries) was held on Tuesday § evening at the Drill Hall. Rutland Street, for the purpose of presenting the Efficiency Cup to the most efficient field batter}' in the Northern Command. This year the cup was awarded to the 4th Howitzer Battery, commanded by Captain A. A. Currey, M.M.. the 21st Batter}', commanded by Lieutenant Do Wolfe, being runners-up. The Third Battery was prevented from competing because of the decision to suspend camps. The brigade was inspected by Major W. F. Stilwell, M.C.. V.D., Brigade Commander, who specially congratulated all ranks on their excellent turn out and steadiness. The following sub-section and individual trophies for efficiency were presented: First Battery.—Sub-section cup, *C” sub-section. Sergeant Davidson; driver. Gunner Foster: Signaller, Sergeant Eason; gunner, L.-Sergeant Green; special award, B.S.M. Muskett. Third Battery.—Driver. L.-Sergeant Smith; signaller, Bdr. Oliver; gunner. Bdr. Rocard; special award. B.S.M. Mar beck.
Fourth Battery.—Sub-section Cup, “C” Sub-section. Sergeant Hay; College Rifle bowl. best turn out, Bdr. Middleton; Davis Cup. battery staff. Gunner Tattersfield: gunner. Gunner Sellars; driver.
