ADMIRAL PICKS HOLES IN NAVAL PACT AS AMERICA SEES IT United P.A.—By Telegraph—Copyright Reed. 9.5 a.m. WASHINGTON, Tues. Admiral Pringle, president of the Naval War College, testifjfin-g before the Senate Naval Affairs Committee, said he disapproved of any alteration in the relative naval strength between the United States and Japan as proposed in the London Treaty, as it lessened America’s chances of operating a successful campaign. He also said he could not agree to the terms regarding cruiser strength and that all available tonnage in that class should carry eight-inch guns.
