THE TALK OF THE TOWN
Scores Entering Popularity Campaign CARS ON EXHIBITION r rHAT THE SUN S Great Popularity Campaign—the .1 launching of which was announced last Saturday, is destined to become the most popular newspaper feature in Auckland, is evidenced by the interest show n by prospective contestants.
With the appearance of the preliminary announcement of this great Competition last Saturday, the Campaign Department was flooded with inquiries by letter, and telephone as well as by callers. The frequently recurring question seems to be: “Must J wait until May 24 to start?” The statement that the Competition will open on May 24 means that the list o£ names and addresses of contestants, whether submitted by themselves or friends, will be announced on that date. It means that all those who wish to strive for one of the many valuable prizes, which include motor-cars, a home site and other desirable things, may start immediately. As a matter of fact, now is the time to commence. To delay your start means that others will get into the Held ahead of you. On every side one hears people planning and organising their campaign in order to get votes. We hear of this person or that person who has already taken subscriptions. These people should immediately communicate with the
Campaign Department and get their free receipt books, These receipt books will be used to issue receipts to the friends who give subscriptions. Some contestants will require one receipt book; some will require two or three, as they will have many friends.
There are many details which -would be better explained by the Campaign Department; therefore, come or writ** to the Campaign Department and get a start to win one of the big prizes. People living in the country should immediately write in, and all information will be sent, and receipt books will be enclosed. PRIZE CARS ON EXHIBITION.— In every General Motors agency today similar cars to the prize cars in this great Prize Competition have been placed on exhibition. If you want to see the car j r ou are goiug to win, go to your nearest Buick and Marquette dealer, your nearest Pontiac dealer, your nearest Chevrolet dealer, and there you will find the prize cars on exhibition. All the cars are built in New Zealand.
