GOLD MONEY’S CHANCE

CAN SHE REPEAT HER EFFORTS? At this time last 3 r ear the sprinter, Gold Money, won both six furlong events at Ellerslie, but whether sue will be equal to a repetition on this occasion is a matter for conjecture. With but a few pounds over the 8.0 minimum. the daughter of Paper Money is nicely placed to do so. She has consistently failed in her most recent efforts, but at Avondale a few weeks ago she showed a torrent of speed, which justifies the contention that she will be an early winner. Gold Money was badly left on both days and this accounts for her failure to fill a place. W. Kemp, the owner-trainer of the mare, has not been doing a great deal with her lately and she promises to strip nice and fresh at Ellerslie.
