OPEN NEXT SUMMER

ROAD ON RANGITOTO The annual meeting of Rangitoto Domain Board, which is comprised of the members of the Devonport Borough Council, was held last evening. The engineer reported that the work of roading the island was nearing completion and the road would be available for traffic next summer. The treasurer’s statement showed that £378 had been spent on materials and tools for the roading work, £33 on the erection of seats, etc., and that royalties on metal had produced £120:-rents providing £227. The board had a credit balance of £43 at the bank. In all likelihood there will be an offi- [ eial opening for the loading scheme j next summer.
