CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING
There was a large attendance of shooters at the Auckland Gun Club’s fortnightly shoot held at Pakuranga. The chief match for a canteen of cutlery presented by Mr. Ernest Montgomery attracted twenty shooters, and resulted in an outright win for W. E. Grant, off 24yds, with the possible of 10 birds. F. H. Seccombe (27yds), J. Donn e ll y (27yds), F. E. McKenzie (24yds), and R. H. Bartley (22yds), divided second and third money with nine birds each. A miss-and-out sweep produced - g^eat sh °°ting, and was eventuany divided by F. H. Seccombe (27yds) and E. J. Schofield (23yds) on the 12th round. The winter shoot for Mr. C. H.
