RESCUED FROM DROWNING
BOY FALLS INTO RIVER PROMPT ACTION BY MAN Special to THE SUN PAEROA, Wednesday. Prompt measures by Mr. Frank Inues, of Paeroa, resulted in a boy, Jack Frost, of Paeroa, being saved from drowning today. The boy was playing on the bank of the Oliinemuri River near the Criterion Bridge, shortly before lunch, with some other young children, when he fell into a deep part of the river Some of the other children screamed, and were heard by Mr. Junes, who was working some distance away. Mr. Innes ran to the spot, dived into the water and succeeded in securing the boy from the bottom.
First-aid was applied and the boy was taken to the Paeroa Hospital, where he has practically recovered.
