AIRSHIPS IN DOMINION

METEOROLOGICAL DATA NOW BEING SECURED PREPARATIONS FOR FUTURE From Our Resident Reporter WELLINGTON, Today. The Government Meteorological Office has already begun to collect data Concerning air currents in various parts of the country, in order to be prepared to supply meteorological information when New Zealand becomes a port of call for airships. The air authorities are also understood to be considering suitable sites tor an airship mooring mast. The problem first claimed attention two years ago, but so far nothing definite has been done. A suitable site must possess several qualifications, such as freedom from electrical reticulation and convenience to a distributing centre, so that it is difficult to decide on one at once.
