Here we see the Astronomer-Royal, Sir Frank Dyson, watching students at work with the Royal Artillery Telescope which was first installed at Wool wich in 1873 and which has, on the recommendation of the Astronomer-Royal, been presented to the new observatory at the Bedford College for Women, in Regent's Park. Sir Frank Dyson performed the opening ceremony at the new observatory.
