WAIMATE'S JUBILEE MEMORIAL.—This memorial, erected recently at Waimate, represents the front of a Maori house. The carvings were done at Rotorua. The memorial cost £2OO, and was designed by the Mayor, Mr. G. Dash, the plans being prepared by the Deputy- Mayor, Mr. W. G. Paul.
