New York Star on the Aorangi
Proposed Tour of N.Z. A report from New York states that the celebrated actor, William Faversham, and his wife, Edith Campbell, are sailing by tlie Aorangi for a tour of Australia and New Zealand. They are bringing a company with them. There are no details of the plays they propose to produce here. No announcement of the proposed tour of this new company has been made by J. C. Williamson. Mr. Faversham, although he was born In London, has spent most of bis time in America, and is recognised as one of New York’s finest actors. His first New York engagement was in ISS7, but be was not recognised os a star until 1901, when he appeared as Don Caesar in “A Royal Rival.” From 1912 to 3914 he played several seasons of Shakespeare. In recent years his greatest successes have been in “The Squaw Man.” “The Mask and the Face,” “The Silver Fox,” and “Leah Kleschna.” Mr. Faversham is a member of the famous Lambs’ Club in New York.
