and their tendency to refuse to face facts have been responsible for much of the divorce evil. Married life is affected by it, beacuse neuroiicism and its manifestations breed insincerity. They cater to the defence reaction. Marriage is the one place where cne must have honesty. The mind is at the bottom of many tragedies which end in the divorce courts. The woman who lias a nervous breakdown in order to get a change of scene and, incidentally, a trip abroad, is a deceiver, and it is no wonder if her marriage goes on the rocks. ' What many of these neurotic wives need more than a'cliange of scene is the ability to face the music and buckle down to their matrimonial obligations without shirking. — Dr. William S. Sadler.
