FLIGHT FROM DIRIGIBLE
FIRST OF ITS KIND EVER MADE MOTORLESS GLIDER USED Reed. 1.30 p.m. LAKEHURST (N.J.), Friday. The first flight of its kind ever recorded was made today, when Lieutenant Barnaby flew from the dirigible Los Angeles in a motorless glider, and landed safely in the middle of a field. The flight took 13 minutes from a height of 3,000 feet.
