“POLICEMEN’S FEET”
HTHE importance of the size of , boots worn by members of the police force was a point discussed at the Magistrate's Court this morning.. A police witness in an accident case said that, lacking a tape measure, he measured skid marks with his boots, and found the marks to be 15 feet in length. A solicitor questioned the accuracy of the measurement. Detective-Sergeant Kelly: A boot is approximately 12 inches. The police have to have a good grip on this earth. Even Mr. Hunt smiled.
