MRS. A. CLELAND The death occurred yesterday of Mrs. Annie Cleland, wife of Mr. R- L Cleland, of Stanley Point, at the a?-* of 60. She was a keen church social worker and was president of Devonport sub-branch of the League. MRS. J. KNIGHT A well-known resident of the Lo^ er Hutt district. Mrs. Janies widow of the late Mr. James Kni?n ihas died at the age of 86. She earn to New Zealand in the sailing 80 / Hastings in 1856 and had lived practically all the time in r.ower Hutt. ■* Ills survived by sever sons and 1 daughters. MR. j. G. ALLAN Mr. James Gummell Allan, a '' ‘ t known farmer, of Taranaki. «'l Otahuhu yesterday at the age ot ‘ j He arrived iri Dunedin from ScOU-ui at the age of !8 and after serving the Maori wars settled in Tarana*Mrs. Allan dir*ci ate last year after years of mtri-ie.l life. Mr. Allan ** survived by 13 children.
