MAN DROPS DEAD

VISITOR TO AUCKLAND A visitor to Auckland, Mr. Arthur Townley, of Kaikohe, dropped dead in Customs Street, outside the Waverley Hotel, at 10 a.m. today. Heart failure is believed to be the cause of death, but an inquest will probably be lield. Mr. Townley, who was aged about 55, was a retired man and was staying at the hotel. He had just passed out of the hotel and wa3 walking along Customs Street when he fell to the footpath. Assistance was given by passers-by, but he was found to be "dead. The dead man was taken to the morgue by the St. John Ambulance.
