FIRE AT NEWTON
Fire broke out in a house at 50 East Street, Newton, shortly after two o’clock this morning. The City Fire Brigade answered the call, and confined the damage to the floorboards and to the weather-boards on one side. The cause of the outbreak is unknown. The house is owned by Mrs. Neill and occupied by Mrs. Bittle.
