WELLINGTON’S MEMORIAL
LONDONERS ADMIRE NEW CARILLON LONDON, Monday. The First Commissioner of Works, Mr. George Lansbury, commented today upon the Wellington cax’illon in Hyde Park. He said it was a splendid thing for the people of Wellington to bring into being what must be a unique war memorial. The public-spirited action of the retiring High Commissioner, Sir James Parr, had made it possible for the citizens of London to hear one of the finest examples of the bellfouuders’ craft. It had evoked warm admiration.
