RUM-RUNNERS KILLED
FIRED ON BY AMERICAN COASTGUARD LARGE CARGO CAPTURED United P.A. —By Telegraph—Copyright Reed. 9.30 a.m. NEW YORK, Sunday. Two interesting incidents in connection with rum-running occurred today. A coastguard off Newport tired upon an escaping American rumrunner, dubbed the Black Duck, and killed three of the crew, also seriously wounding one. A large cargo of liquor was captured. A supposedly British rum-runner, the Flor del Mar, was discovered by a coast patrol off Montalk laden with liquor, and afire.
