Public Notice is hereby given that the following Resolution passed at a Special Meeting of the Auckland City Council convened for that purpose and held on the 19th day of December, 1929, and intended to operate as a Special Order, will come up for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Auckland City Council to be held on THURSDAY, the 30th day of JANUARY. 1930, in the Council Chamber, Town Hall. Auckland, at 7 o'clock p.m., namely: “The Auckland City Council doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order to widen Banff Avenue within the City of Auckland by adding to it a piece of land containing 1.3 perches more or less being portion of Lot 9 on D.P. SSOG being portion of Allotment 34, Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland, as the same is more particularly delineated on plan lodged in the Survey Office at Auckland under Number 25293 and thereon . coloured red, and doth further resolve that the said piece of land be and the same is hereby declared to* be portion of a public street known as Banff Avenue within the City of Auckland.” J. “That in pursuance and exercise ol the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, The Local Bodies Loans Act, iy26. The Local Government Loans Act, 1926, The Local Legislation Act, 1929, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council doth hereby, by Special Resolution intended to operate as a Special Order, resolve to borrow the sum of TWENTYONE THOUSAND POUNDS (<£21,000) for the purpose of refunding to the District Fund Account amounts paid therefrom in connection with the redemption of the Municipal Abattoir Loan which matured on the 31st day of March, 1929, at a rate' of Interest .not exceeding FIVE POUNDS TEN SHILLINGS (£5 10s Od) per centum per annum, for a period of 26 years from the date of the raising of the Loan, and that the Security for the said Loan shall be a Special Rate of One-Sixth of one Penny (l-6thd) in the £, and that the Auckland City Council pay out of the Loan the costs, charges and expenses of raising the said Loan, but not the Interest or the Sinking Fund thereon for the first year."
