NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS, 1930 Postal Branch Tuesday, December 31.—An over-counter delivery of town letters (registered as well as ordinary), will be made from the Postman's Branch, first floor, between 7 and 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 1 (New Years Day) will be observed as a close holiday. All mails'will close at 4 a.m.. with the exception that those for Southern offices will close at 5.30 p.m. Only parcels on which the Express Transit’* fee has been paid will be dispatched. The midnight clearance will be made as usual. There will bo no delivery by postmen. Late fee letters for Southern offices ma> be posted in the box at the entrance to the Railway Station platform, up to 10 minutes before the advertised times of departure of the express trains.
