CINDER-SHIFTERS TONIGHT

BLANDFORD PARK PROGRAMME Owing to inclement weather the programme of cinder track racing which was to have been held at Blandford Park on Saturday evening, was postponed, and will be held this evening. The principal event will be the Big Nine Championship tor the gold helmet, and the holder, Goldberg, will have to be shifting the cinders in his best style to retain his trophy, as the best of the other riders are out to beat him. The race will be run in three heats, a semi-final and final, and will be over four laps from a .rolling start. The New Year Handicap should provide good racing, and the special challenge race between Coulthard and Lemon should be a thrilling affair. The track has been further improved, and extra lighting has been installed. This is expected to be the best meeting that has yet been staged at the park.
