Complaints regarding the speed of the car through Manurewa and Papakura were received and witness caught defendant’s car at Runciman. Two of the passengers were intoxicated and smelled of whisky. One passenger gave witness a business card and told him to call at the address given on Tuesday morning and to get a new suit. A fine of £4 and costs 10s was imposed.
