“JOURNEY’S END” PLAY
CLAIM FOR £40,000 MADE BY WOMAN
NEW YORK, Saturday. A claim for £IO,OOO has arisen over the British war play, “Journey’s End.”
Katharine Burke Sherman, who describes herself as a “writer of dramatic composition,” has filed a suit against R. C. Sherriff, playwright, Gilbert Miller, producer, Maurice Browne, agent, and Brentanos, the publishers. Complainant alleges that ‘'Journey's End” infringes her three-act play, “Flags and Flowers.” in that it is similar in theme and dialogue.
