TWO MEN WRECK FLATS

HEAVY EXPLOSIVE USED IN MELBOURNE

DETERMINED DESPERADOES Reed. 11.10 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. Frustrated in an attempt to burn a two-storeyed block of flats in Double Bay on Saturday night, two men returned last night and attempted to blow up the flats with a quantity of gelignite. The firemen prevented the Saturday night attempt, and extinguished the fire before much damage was done, but the explosion completely wrecked the kitchen and hallway, and shattered every window.
