“ BLACKMAIL ” TO BE SCREENED
j During the week THE SUN an* j nounced that the Australian Board 1 of Appeal had lifted the Commonwealth censor’s ban on “Blackmail,” Britain’s outstanding talking film. “Blackmail’s” fate in New Zealand is not yet known, nor is it clear whether or not the picture will be released for Australian screening in its original condition. The Appeal Board’s decision will be greeted with relief in British film circles, for it was estimated that the loss of the Australian market meant a loss of £IO,OOO to British International : Pictures. »
