The first is a virile film depicting Napoleon’s invasion of Russia. This is accompanied by the overture “1812,” every shade and meaning in the music being translated on the screen in pictorial terms. “Irish Rhapsody” is the title of the second release. Irish music and songs are accompanied by scenes, of Ireland’s struggle for freedom in ancient days. Then “The Fall of the Bastille,” a graphic picture depicting the birth of “The Marseillaise,” and accompanied by the playing of that inspiring anthem. “Tannhauser” is the first featurette. The screen translation includes the enchanting Bacchantes ballet, and the “Pilgrims’ Chorus” is sung by a choir of 100 voices. “Glorious Vamps,” a film on more intimate historical lines, depicts famous sirens of all ages from Eve and Salome to Carmen and the mod-
