NEW RUSSIAN INVENTION TO BE USED NEW ZEALAND CO-OPERATES Reed. 10.36 a.m. COPENHAGEN, Fri. Plans for simultaneous polar exploration in 1932 and 1933, in which Australia and New Zealand will cooperate with America in the Antarctic, include the use of a new Russian invention which has already been tested. A balloon fitted with a camera will take photographs at a height of 12 miles. Immediately the picture is taken, the image will automatically be wirelessed to the base.
