TOURISTS ALL OUT FOR 168 AT ADELAIDE GRIMMETT BOWLS WELL (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) ADELAIDE, Friday. Tho English cricketers began the second match of their tour today against South Australia at the Adelaide Oval. The visitors won the toss and batted first. The wicket and the outfield were both in excellent condition, and the weather was hot. The bowlers held the upper hand, and the visitors were all out for 168. The home team had lost four wickets for 90 when stumps were drawn. E. W. Dawson and K. S. Duleepsinhji batted stylishly, and M. J. Turnbull played a lively innings. The other batsmen except Nichols could not cope with Grimmett’s googlies. Nichols batted forcefully in a lastwicket stan.d, and hit two sixes. His batting was the brightest display of the innings.

The outstanding performances for South Australia when they fielded were Grimmett’s bowling and the wicket-keeping of Walker, who is likely to be tried for the next Australian team for England. The South Australians did not make an impressive opening against the English bowlers, of whom Barratt and Nichols were the most destructive. Two wickets were down for 34, both to Barratt. A stand was made by Prichard and Richardson, who took the score to 73. Then Richardson and Lonergan were dismissed by successive deliveries from Nichols. South Australia had slumped badly, after being in a good position, but Prichard and Whitfield batted carefully until stumps were drawn.
