DIRECTORS AND STARS JOIN FORCES A £2,000,000 COMPANY The formation of a striking quartet of prominent film people for the purpose of entering the production field with the very latest types of
apparatus is announced from Los Angeles.
Those concerned | are Reginald Denny, Eric von j Stroheim, F. W. Murnau and Esther ; Ralston. They (are said to have formed a £2, ,000,000 company—“ The Colo- F* W. Murnau art Synchrotone Corporation”—for th purpose of making pictures in colou and full dialogue. The first production on the Coloar

from Germany and joined Fox Films, for whom he made “Sunrise,” one of the most remarkable productions of (he decade. He followed this with “Four Devils,” another successful production. Eric von Stroheim, maker of

ary. atitt, it is recognised that he is a great director and a most artistic one. Esther Ralston, an attractive little Paramount player, has never been accused of setting the film firmament on fire yet. Like Reginald Denny she has a number
of satisfactory and successful pictures to her credit.
