of Airs, and the late Mr. J. Sutcliffe, of Lyttelton. The church had been artistically decorated by' friends of the bride, ivho entered on the arm of her father. She wore a lovely frock of shell-pink georgette made with a multi-frilled skirl and cape over the shoulders. Sprays of orange-blossom at the waist made an effective contrast to a charmingly simple toilet, and the veil of tine white net. handsomely embroidered with pale pink, and arranged to fo; m a graceful train was caught to the head in mobcap fashion and fastened picturesquely under the chin with four strings of pink pearls. An exquisite bouquet and silver shoes completed a charming ensemble. .... Miss Dorothy Ward, ol Napier, the only bridesmaid, loked charming in a frock of figured georgette of a delicate shade of maize with doubletiered. fully flared skirt, and cape collar from shoulders to waist, finished with girdle and beads to tone. A smart crinoline hat and fawn ciepe de chine shoes, together with a beautiful bouquet, completed a striking ensemble. The two winsome little flower girls—nieces of the bride little Mary and Doris Ellisdon. of Auckland, looked sweet in frilly pink frocks of silk and net, and tulle and silver headdresses. They carried wands trimmed with flowers and pink streamers. The bridegroom was supported jy Mr O Hunter, of Christchurch. After the wedding a reception was held at Osier’s Booms, where the bride’s father and mother received the numerous guests. Mrs. Grout wore a handsome frock of navy satin romaine, elaborately trimmed with red beading and fawn georgette, and a smart closefitting crinoline hat. Her bouquet was of crimson roses.
