WRECK AT LEVEL CROSSING DRIVER THROWN CLEAR Press Association PALMERSTON N., Today. Caught broadside on at the Albert Street level crossing by the southbound Main Trunk express, which was three-quarters of an hour late, a motor-truck was lifted about ten yards and then thrown clear. The driver, T. H. Mills, had a miraculous escape, being thrown clear and escaping with superficial cuts. The lorry was wrecked and the contents smashed to pieces.
