RECOVERY FAILS TO ABSORB EARLY BREAK Reed. 9.35 a.m. CHICAGO, Friday. Wheat recovered from an early drop, but the rally was not sufficient to absorb the break. The close showed a net loss of between two and three cents. The rally was the result of some short c.overings. Closing prices were:— December, 1 dollar 20i cents a bushel; March, 1 dollar 27 3-8 cents; May, 1 dollar 31 cents.
