FIREWORK EXPLODES TOO SOON From Our Own Correspondent TAIHAPE, Today. When Guy Fawkes celebrations were in progress at Moawhango, 12 miles from Taihape, a Maori named Stone was injured. He had just lighted a big “double-banger” and was holding it in his hand ready 'to throw when it exploded prematurely, blowing off two fingers and injuring his thumb so badly that it may have to be amputated. He was taken to the Taihape HospitaL
