EMBRACED PASSING WOMAN IN STREET CONVICTIONS TOTAL 132 Amorous behaviour on the part of Charles McGeahan did not meet with the approval of a woman he accosted in Victoria Street yesterday. He appeared at the Police Court this morning. McGeahan, a labourer, aged 58, was charged with being disorderly while drunk in Victoria Street. "I was drunk, but I know nothing about being disorderly,” said accused, in answer to the charge. According to Constable Stewart McGeahan had been arrested at 4.15 p.m. yesterday. He had stopped a woman, putting his arm round her neck and calling out, “You’re a beauty.” He had accosted several people in the street. “His last appearance was on October 29,” said Sub-Inspector McCarthy. “He has 131 previous convictions and his list runs into three pages.” “Give me a chance,” pleaded McGeahan, but Mr. F. K. Hunt. S.M., imposed a fine of £5, in default oue month's imprisonment.
