CHANGE IN VEHICULAR SERVICES EXTRA TRIPS ARRANGED The amended time-table submitted by the Devonport Ferry Company as a result of the conference between its representatives and those- of the Northcote and Birkenhead Councils, was submitted to the Northcote Borough Council at the meeting held last evening. The report stated that the chairman of directors, the Hon. E. W. Alison, had acceded to the request that all trips possible should call at Northcote to and from Auckland. The first boat from Birkenhead at 6.15 a.m. was the only exception, this being scheduled for Auckland direct. All other trips would call at Northcote both ways until 7 p.m. from Auckland, which would be direct to Birkenhead, leaving there at 7.25, calling at Northcote, and returning from Auckland as the last trip on ordinary days at 8 p.m. On Friday and Saturday evenings the service was extended to 11.3 5 from .Auckland, with the exception of the 9.2 U from Auckland, which would be to Northcote only, and back to Auckland. Or week-days there would be 16 trips from Northcote to Auckland and 14 on the return journey, with a further return trip between Northcote and Auckland on Friday and Saturday evenings. Birkenhead received 16 return trips daily, and 19 return trips on Friday and Saturday. Readjustment ot the Sunday schedule had I given 15 trips to Northcote and 13 to Birkenhead.
