CANADA’S COMMERCE GROWS AMAZINGLY VANCOUVER. Monday. Canada's trade with the Orient is growing to an amazing extent. The value of her exports for the year ended September 30 was £6,000,000. This was double the value for any previous year. The value of exports to Japan exceeded £8,000,000, which represents an increase of 20 per cent. Canada's exports to Australia in the period were valued at £ 4,000,000, an increase of 30 per cent. Exports to New Zealand the same year reached a total value of £3,600,000, an increase of 50 per cent. Imports from Australia decreased, in value by £200,000, but purchases from New Zealand increased 50 per cent, the total value being £2,600,000.
