STRUCK BY SLING

WATERSIDE WORKER INJURED From Our Own Correspondent WHANGAREI, Today. A broken arm and severe cuts on the head were received by Mr. B. Morgan, a waterside worker, while unloading the steamer Claymore at the Whangarei Town Wharf yesterday. When hoisting a sling containing several heavy packages the sling snapped, striking Mr. Morgan a glancing blow on the shoulder. He received medical attention and was then conveyed to the Whangarei Public Hospital, where he is reported to be progressing favourably.
