CAUGHT BY THE TIDE AND WIND, the Maheno drifted close inside the eastern tide-deflector in Mechanic's Bay this morning, before she was berthed. Captain A. T. Toten's quick action and excellent seamanship took the ship out of what appeared to the ordinary individual to be a nasty situation.
