Dr. Henry Burrell, of the Waikato Hospital. Hamilton, has been appointed missionary doctor and superintendent of the Paton Memorial Hospital at Vila, Xew Hebrides, a position which was left vacant by the resignation of Dr. S. Heriot last year. Mr. A. W. Watters, who has been promoted from the position of official assignee at Christchurch to that in Yuckland. attended his first official duties in his new station this morning. Mr. Watters has taken the position left vacant through the appointment of Mr. G. X. Morris to a magistracy. Mr. Morris's duties were carried on by the deputy-official assignee, Mr. V. R. Crowhurst.
